Here is a recipe for all gourmets who would like to make pizza the way the Italians do. I like the pizza sauce best with fresh herbs, garlic and onion.Have you ever tried pizza on the grill? I put a pizza stone on the grill for this. It is best if the grill can be closed with a lid. This distributes the heat better and the pizza browns evenly. Just like from a stone oven! However, you can also prepare the recipe in the oven. Have fun with your pizza evening!
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and leave to rest briefly.
Sieve the flour into a large bowl. Add the yeast water, oil and salt. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
Cover the dough and leave to rise in a warm place for 2-3 hours until it has significantly increased in volume.
Prepare the tomato sauce
Roughly chop the garlic and onion.
Puree in a blender with the tomato purée, tomato purée, agave syrup, Italian herbs, salt and basil.
Topping and baking pizza
Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface. Preheat the pizza stone in the grill or preheat the oven to 250 degrees top and bottom heat.
Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza peel or on a baking tray. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pastry. Top with desired toppings such as red onions, garlic and cherry tomatoes.
Bake the pizza in the grill for about 8 minutes or in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Enjoy
Remove the freshly baked pizza from the oven or grill. Garnish with fresh basil to taste and serve.
