Zucchini fries are a delicious alternative to conventional chips. Crispy breaded and baked in the oven or in a hot air fryer until golden brown, they are not only delicious but also a healthier option. Accompanied by a creamy herb quark, these zucchini fries make a perfect snack or side dish.
Cut the zucchinis into long fries and lightly dredge with flour. Mix well.
Pour the almond drink over the zucchini pieces and mix again.
Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix with the paprika powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Toss the marinated zucchini pieces in the breadcrumb mixture until they are evenly coated.
Baking
Drizzle the breaded zucchinis with a little oil and place in the air fryer. Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
Preparing and serving the herb quark
Place the soy skyr in a bowl.
Finely chop the fresh herbs and add to the skyr. Mix everything well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Remove the zucchini fries from the air fryer or oven, leave to cool briefly and serve with the homemade herb quark.
