These vegan brownie balls are an absolute dream for all chocolate fans - and without any refined sugar or flour! The base consists of rolled oats, sweet dates and creamy almond paste. Covered in melted dark chocolate, they are crispy on the outside, fudgy on the inside and simply irresistible. I love them as a healthy snack or small dessert straight from the fridge - quick to make, high in protein and super tasty!
Process the rolled oats in a blender or food processor to a fine flour and set aside.
Prepare the date mixture
Place the dates in the blender with the oat milk, agave syrup, almond butter, vanilla extract and cinnamon.
Puree everything into a smooth, sticky mixture.
Mixing the brownie batter
Place the date mixture in a bowl.
Add the oatmeal flour, cocoa and a pinch of salt.
Mix everything well until you have a firm but easily malleable dough. If the dough is too soft, add a little more oat flour.
Shape balls
Use your hands to shape the dough into approx. 16 balls (approx. 25 g each).
Chocolate coating
Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave on a low heat.
Dip each ball into the chocolate with a fork or skewer, allow to drip off slightly and place on a board lined with baking paper.
Cooling
Leave the brownie balls to set in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes.
Notes
✨ Tip:
The balls keep for around 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge - perfect as a snack or healthy chocolate dessert! You can also freeze them and enjoy them as required.
